Welcome to Classes
Cedar and Rosewood
Our classes are a mixture of year 3 and 4 pupils, comprising 27 children in Cedar and 26 children in Rosewood. This year we are exploring the lives of the Tudors and the Anglo-Saxons in our enrichment curriculum lessons. We visited Kentwell Hall in September and experienced life there as it would have been in Tudor times. We are currently learning about the Anglo-Saxon tribes and will become tribe members ourselves.
Everyone in year 4 is looking forward to our annual 3 day residential trip to Grafham Water this year.
We are also looking forward to our whole school celebration about the Olympic Games in the summer, when the Olympic values and traditions will be explored through all aspects of the curriculum.
In Science this term we are learning about solids and liquids and in R.E. we are exploring the religion of Sikhism.
In Lower Key Stage 2 we encourage the children to become independent learners. The children enjoy developing their speaking and listening skills through research, presentations and group work opportunities. Experiences and challenges given throughout the year create an environment which allows children to grow into confident and successful individuals.
