Bourn School Association

Bourn School Association is made of parents, carers and teachers who meet regularly to discuss ways of raising money to provide exra facilities for the children at school. We organise a variety of events throughout the year including a Quiz Night, Movie Nights for the children, Proms Night, Christmas event, Mothers Day Gift Shop, Parent Running Group, Cake Stalls, to name just a few.

The current Committee comprises:

Vicki Gregory – Voting member

The BSA can really make  difference. Some of the recent purchases / projects that have been supported or financed by the BSA include:

• New swimming pool built in 2010
• 10 laptop computers and trolley for use around the school
• Stage lighting and a portble projector
• Outdoor cricket strip & net/cage
• We are currently purchasing new outdoor furniture for the children.

We also fund annual projects such as:

• Class outings and visits – an annual allowance for each class every year
• Maintenance of the swimming pool
• Leavers party and gifts for Year 6 children.

A BSA Newsletter is produced at the beginning of each term to keep everyone informed of forthcoming events and recent monies raised / expenditure.

After each Friday morning Assembly, the BSA serve complimentary tea and coffee and second hand uniforms are available to buy. Please join us for a coffee and a chat.
