Charity 10km & 3km Fun Run
Sunday 13th September 2009
10km starting 10.30am
3km starting 10.45am
In Aid of Bourn School Association
Bourn Primary School desperately needs a new swimming pool as the current one has run its course (no pun intended!). The BSA (Bourn School Association) hopes to raise £10,000 towards this project so that a new pool can be provided for pupils to gain valuable swimming lessons for years more to come.
With that in mind we are organising two runs; a 10km and a 3km fun run, both to be held on Sunday 13th September starting from the spectacular grounds of Bourn Hall Clinic in Bourn.
The 10km run will be open to anyone over 16 years of age and will commence at 10.30am.
The 3km run will be open to all ages although any children under 10 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult. The 3km race will commence at 10.45am.
Registration: Online registration will be from 1st April to 10th September. To register, please click on the following link www.fabian4.co.uk. Race numbers will be distributed at the race start at Bourn Hall Clinic by the administration volunteers in the registration tent from 9:15-10:15am. Race numbers will be filed alphabetically by surname. Please go to the appropriate administrator dealing with your surname. Race numbers should be pinned on the front of each runner to ensure your time can be recorded at the finish. Safety pins will be provided. Please allow sufficient time before the race start to collect your number. For friends that may travel with you that require an entry to the 3 km Fun Run, registration will also be in the registration tent from 09:00 to 10:15. Entry to the 3km FUN RUN is available on the day as well as by pre-registration. The 10km is by online pre registration only at the above link.
Fees: The cost of entry for the 10km race is £10 - the fabian4 link above for pre-registration allows secure online payment by card. The entry fee for pre-registration for the 3km fun run is £2 for juniors (aged 16 or under) and £4 for over 16s. Entry on the day is £3 and £5 respectively, between 9am - 10.15am. Payment is by cash only for on-the-day entries.
Trophies: Medals will be provided for all finishers. In addition trophies will be awarded for:
