3km starting 10.40am
In Aid of Bourn School Association and Bourn Sports Club
Headline sponsor:
Bourn Primary School are raising funds this year to try and buy a laptop trolley and laptops to give improved access to IT facilities. They also hope to raise money to make the wildlife area a fun and enjoyable place to work and play. Bourn Sports Club are committed to providing the best sports opportunities they can for the whole village to enjoy. They are looking to raise funds to improve facilities for the teenagers in the village.
With that in mind we are organising two runs; a 10km and a 3km fun run, both to be held on Sunday 26th September starting from the recreation ground by Bourn Sports Club pavilion.
The 10km run will be open to anyone over 16 years of age and will commence at 10.30am.
The 3km run will be open to all ages although any children under 10 years of age will need to be accompanied by an adult. The 3km race will commence at 10.40am.
Registration: Online registration will be from 11th April to 20th September. To register, please click on the following link www.fabian4.co.uk. Race numbers will be distributed at the recreation ground by the administration volunteers in the registration tent from 9:15-10:15am. Race numbers will be filed alphabetically by surname. Please go to the appropriate administrator dealing with your surname. Race numbers should be pinned on the front of each runner to ensure your time can be recorded at the finish. Safety pins will be provided. Please allow sufficient time before the race start to collect your number. For friends that may travel with you that require an entry to the 3 km Fun Run, registration will also be in the registration tent from 09:00 to 10:15. Entry to the 3km FUN RUN is available on the day as well as by pre-registration. The 10km is by online pre-registration only at the above link.
Fees: The cost of entry for the 10km race is £10 for early-bird entries, before 31st July. The entry fee after that date is £12. The fabian4 link above for pre-registration allows secure online payment by card. The entry fee for pre-registration for the 3km fun run is £3 for juniors (aged 16 or under) and £4 for over 16s. Entry on the day is £4 and £5 respectively, between 9am - 10.15am. Payment is by cash only for on-the-day entries.
