Driving to School
We are anxious about safety and with your co-operation we can avoid any accidents. We have a strict NO VEHICLE rule on our School drive at the times when it is in use by the children. This is between 8.35 a.m. and 9.00 a.m., and between 2.50 p.m. and 3.15 p.m.. You should also avoid parking anywhere in the vicinity of the School gate since this makes it extremely dangerous for the children who need to see to cross the road safely. This includes dropping off and picking up children at the beginning and end of the day.
Please do not park on the zig-zag lines around the School, in the bus stop bay, in front of people’s drives or on the corner of Hall Close marked on the map in red. Parking on the marked corner on Hall Close makes it impossible for the school bus to get to the school.
The School operates a voluntary one way system around Riddy Lane and Hall Close during the morning drop-off and afternoon collection times, in an attempt to alleviate traffic congestion. This is shown on the map. Please follow the route shown by the arrows to make the drive to School easier for everyone. This system has worked very successfully and the School appreciates parents continuing to follow this.
Parking is usually available in the areas shaded green on the map.
