‘Danceathon’ for the NSPCC

This term we have invited the NSPCC into school to deliver the Speak out and stay safe
programme which gives children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or to childline. They will also be running a workshop session with Years 5 and 6 where they explore the definitions of abuse in greater depth. They take part in engaging exercises, including looking at different scenarios and deciding whether they are “OK or not OK”.

To say ‘thank you’ to the NSPCC for their visit we held a sponsored ‘danceathon’ and a giant conga in school, raising over £900!
