Throughout the week commencing Monday 11th June 2018, the School celebrated 60 years on its current site. To start off the week, a special service was held at Bourn church, during which Year 6 children sang the hymn, ‘Immortal, Invisible God Only Wise’ – a hymn sang back when the School first opened in 1958.
Throughout the week there were lots of different activities to commemorate the event with parties in each classroom, an exciting fete organised by the BSA and a fantastic children’s entertainer who taught the children how to reduce their use of plastics to protect the planet for the next 60 years and beyond. The week culminated with a highly entertaining ‘Dancing Through the Decades’ assembly in which each year group performed a song and dance from a different decade. Finally, every member of the school joined in a rousing rendition of ‘Come and Join the Celebrations’ which was enjoyed by all in attendance including our special guest, Heidi Allen MP.
